I think the Sanmon courtyard represents the Ascending Dragon Gate. The water overflows from the spout at the top of the giant cast water bowl, which uses the height of the water to gush out water, making the sound of water as it falls. Since the temple is located on the slope of a mountain, the sound of the rushing water from the side of the temple echoes in the courtyard. On the moss surface, there are trees such as the Tarayo tree, which is said to have had sutras written on the underside of its leaves, the maple tree, which has distinct seasons, and the evergreen azalea, azalea, and cedar. Since there is no Matsu in dragon form, it is implied that he cannot easily become a dragon. During the deep snowy winter months, people stand and line up at the Sanmon gate, begging to become monks.
